When hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes or health emergencies like the coronavirus pandemic strike, CitiHope can act quickly to help save lives. From our headquarters in NY, we are supporting health workers here in the United States as they fight to save lives.

CitiHope has a history of responding to US disasters - in 2017 we helped rebuild homes in Rockport TX after Hurricane Harvey, and in 2005 we delivered medicine and supplies to healthcare workers in Louisiana and Mississippi after Hurricane Katrina.

CitiHope’s COVID-19 response has already provided US $4.8 million of urgently needed screening tests, protective gear, medical supplies, medicines and nutrition to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the population of Dominican Republic. Over 1.4 million servings of fortified food is being distributed to help strengthen the immune system of those at risk for infection.

We are also working to resource our local partners in Ethiopia, Somaliland and Zimbabwe who were already facing difficulties with drought and other vulnerabilities prior to COVID-19.
